Arnow
Arnow – A portrait of Tom Robert Lowe
OUT OF COMPETITION
A surreal cinematic portrait of Cornish big wave surfer Tom Lowe. Tom’s story told through the uncompromising lens of a 16mm Bolex camera. From the unlikely beginnings of a small fishing town with small waves to the biggest waves in the world at the highest level of competition. Tom Lowe’s reputation as one of the most fearless men in surfing was hard earned in the cold black waves of west Ireland, this film attempts to build a picture of this complex character by going back to where it all began, Cornwall. The film is a patchwork of memories and stories sown together with interviews of family and associates who have bore witness to Tom’s dedicated and dangerous journey.
