Eravamo Liberi (We were free) is a documentary about the birth of surfing in italy up to the establishment of the national premiere and the costitution of a cultural movement whose cornerstones were the concept of freedom, nomadism and a life outside the patterns and dictates imposed by consumer society. A cross-section of the society of the 1980s and 1990s restored through the point of view of the last witnesses of this culturale movement that represented a history beaking point, shaping and opening the minds of an entire generation
